[ PcWorld ] Nutrition (FAQs)

Q: I am a vegetarian. However, I have been told that to build up protein it is necessary to have meat since the vegetarian diet does not really have any good substitutes. Is this true? Ranbir
A: Dear Ranbir, it is a myth that meat is the best source of protein! In fact, it is found in the most surprising foods such as brown rice! Besides, pulses, yogurt, cheese, lentils, nuts and seeds are good sources too.

Q: I find it easy to stick to a healthy regime for a few days until I am motivated enough. But how do I make the motivation last longer? Janice
A: Dear Janice, there is something about the word ‘regime ‘ itself that you have used that makes following a healthy lifestyle look like a difficult task. Your diet should be a way of life! Not something you ‘have-to-stick- to’ for a few days. Look at it in a fun way. Once you get started, even if you stick to the principles 80% of the time, it will work for you. With a little margin left for indulgence, you will be fine.
