POPCORNS

POPCORNS

Do you like popcorn?
I almost heard you say, who doesn't. We all love them as a nice
snack, be it home or the movies, as they are tasty, munchy, healthy
and very handy as to prolong it till our favourite programme ends.
Popcorns are getting popular at homes too as they are high in
fibre, low in calories and fat, and are basically good little
things to eat.

Are you fond of popping corns in the microwave? If you are, then
it's about time to stop that habit. Why?

1. Microwave popcorns are high in sodium. And you might already
know that you need to try to cut back on extra sodium diets as they
risk a lot of problems including hypertension, bloating and water
retention.

2. They give you all those trans fats and loads of calories. 100
grams of pop corn will give you 28 grams of fats.

3. One unobserved thing about microwave popcorns are that they
betray you the portion size. You have no idea how much of what you
ate!

4. The popcorn bags are not great friends either. They contain
hazardous chemicals which are linked to infertility and cancer.

Switch on to Airpopped Popcorn

1. To this you can add your favourite oil, the desired amount of
salt and maintain your portion size!

2. They cost less than the other.

So what are waiting for? Grab your favourite snack now. Throw your
favourite flavourings like pepper, oregano, dried herbs oand even
skip the oil and salt. For children, it is an intelligent way of
making them eat some butter too.
